Wildlife Sightings

Grass and Slash black fox

The plentiful rain seems to have produced a lot of food for small critters.  Our local foxes are enjoying the abundance.  At least one family of three (one black, two red) has been seen playing and hunting around several houses.  They are doing their part to control the number of rodents in the area.

Remember also that this is the season when bears are gorging for winter, so take care to secure your garbage, and bird/hummingbird feeders.  Bears have also broken into neighborhood houses and cars looking for food, so try not to tempt them!

If other neighbors want to share their wildlife sightings, email Ingrid and we she will share in the next email or website. (Especially if it’s an animal we all need to know about.)
